Power supply

Into the white connector on the left you must connect the battery (12V, 2Ah). The red led is lighted when Stream is ready to works. Two big capacitors allow to have a perfectly continuous current. This module provide 3 different voltages: 5Vcc, 12Vcc and 12V.

The 5Vcc is supplied by a 7805. This garantee a perfect stability, and can provide a current of 1A max. This voltage is used by the CPU board, the radar system and the step motor driver.

The 12Vcc is provided by a 7812, to power the radar system, too.

The 12V is provided directly from the battery. This voltage powers the step motors. This motors don't require a perfect stabilized current, so two big capacitors are sufficient. The 12V voltage is successivly lowered to 8.5V by a series of 5 diodes.

These voltages are available on the right connector. Cables bring the power to other boards.

As told before, the Stream's average electrical input is about 0.9A, so it's autonomy is about 2 hours.
